Where the Story Began
GURKAARI™ took root in the childhood memories and creative imagination of Gurpreet Kaur, Co-founder and Creative Lead of the brand. Deeply influenced by Punjab—its colours, textiles, craftsmanship and the quiet grace of its women—she carried a long-held desire to create something distinctive: pieces that honour tradition while expressing individuality, refinement and a contemporary point of view.
Together with her husband, Baljinder Singh, Founder of GURKAARI, whose artistic instinct, entrepreneurial experience and belief in the vision helped transform inspiration into reality, that dream began to take shape. GURKAARI is their shared expression of heritage, creativity and belonging—rooted in the soil and spirit of Punjab, and created to carry its artistry forward with elegance, intention and enduring relevance.

Punjab lives in countless shades, yet three colours remain at the heart of the GURKAARI imagination: mustard gold, reflecting the warmth of its sunlit fields; deep green, carrying the strength of its fertile land and enduring roots; and rich crimson, expressing celebration, courage and love.
Woven through these three is GURKAARI’s signature peach-copper glow—not as a fourth colour, but as the refined warmth that brings the palette together.
